About the Event

Ever wonder what it takes for that bowl of rice to end up on your table? And what happens when you throw it in the garbage? The journey of food waste begins long before your plate reaches you, and ends way after you throw your leftovers away! 🍲

This March holiday, go on an journey where we follow our food as it's produced through the hard work of farmers on the field, and where it ends up if we waste it. Along the way, we'll meet an army of little soldiers working to solve the food waste crisis - one bug at a time! Every participant brings home their every own rice planting kit too! 🌾

Highlights:

Through video, games, storytelling and experiential learning, learners will get learn about these topics:

• Understand different kinds of wastes - learners will understand different kinds of wastes that we create in our quest to get food on the table 🧆

• Black Soldier Flies (BSF) and unavoidable food waste - Through an interactive storytelling session featuring our little eco-warrior, Miki, learners will get hands on and buggy through an interactive storytelling session involving our superhero black soldier flies!
