The Insectta team was glad to be featured as an outreach partner at Earth Fest Singapore 2019! We had a live composting bin full of black soldier fly larvae that the public could see and touch! We were heartened by seeing the young and old from all walks of life interact with our grubs. We watched people's mindsets change about insect farming, food wastage, and composting with just a simple conversation.
We believe that changing mindsets is the first step to a more sustainable future. Outreach and education with an engaging angle is a great way to get people thinking about how our future will look like with insect farming as another mainstream.
